about VHC
Welcome to Voice of Hope Chapel Calgary. At VHC we have aligned ourselves with the simple heart of; GIVING HOPE, SAVING LIVES.
One of our Values is, we are Church Planting. Voice of Hope Chapel is a Church branch of the mother Church, Voice of Victory Gospel Church International, Ghana. It is the 10th church plant.
Our vision is to offer hope and encourage people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The founding pastors Bishop Justice Joe Arhinful and Rose Vera Arhinful along with their family have poured so much of their lives into the church for over 20 years.
After working in Nigeria for over 14 years as a district overseer of several churches, the Bishop returned to Ghana where he started the church. Today, the church is reaching people beyond Ghana.
In Matt. 28:19-20 Jesus said
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
We hold this scripture dear and believe this is what we have been called to do. We have been called to train, empower leaders, send them and build God's church.

"Encouraging people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, by declaring and demonstrating the liberating power of the gospel and creating a dynamic environment for authentic worship through effective communication promoting HOPE while developing and fostering genuine community among each other."
OUR mission

1. We are an OUTREACH FOCUSED CHURCH.
We believe that we have been called to share the gospel in whatever capacity we have.

2. We are CHURCH PLANTING.
We believe in Jesus’ command “go and make disciples by preaching the good news to all nations”. Our plan is to plant churches in our community, region, states, countries, continent as the Lord leads us.

3. We are LEADERSHIP FOCUSED.
Our heart is to equip people to lead from a place of authenticity and empowered.

4. POWER MINISTRY.
The Church began with the miracle of healing. We believe the Holy Spirit is still at work. We operate and encourage the giftings of the Holy spirit in our church.

5. We are COMPASSION DRIVEN.
There’s always a need in our community, country and other parts of the world. We provide assistance in whatever capacity we can.

6. We are WORD BASED.
We believe the Bible and its entirety as the written and inspired word of God to be taught in truth and grace.
OUR BELIEFS
OUR VALUES

I. We believe in the Bible and its entirety as the inspired written word of God and that, it is without error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine and Christian living. Its content is for teachings, reprove, encouragement and edification of the saint.
II. We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ and that He is true God and Man. He died on the cross for our sins and on the third day bodily arose from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the father and is now our High Priest and advocate.
III. We believe the Holy Spirit, the outpour and giftings of the Holy Spirit for the edification of the church.
IV. We believe in the functioning offices as described in Ephesians 4:11
V. We believe that eternal Salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man’s works, and is for any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior.
VI. We believe in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body, prayer for the sick and anointing with oil as taught in the scriptures.
VII. We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Universal church and that we have been commissioned by Christ to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations.
VIII. We believe that baptism is by the immersion and the Lord’s supper is a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross.
IX. We believe in the imminent and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His second coming inspires believers to live a zealous life and service for Him while waiting for His return.
X. We believe the church is called to continuous prayer.
XI. We believe that, the church is for all – multi – generational, Multi – ethnicity, male and female, poor, rich, average income etc.
